When CSNA found out that Central Houston has less than a 1 day supply of blood on its shelves, our team members stepped up to help our community. Each one of us know someone who has received the gift of blood. In conjunction with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, on July 23rd CSNA hosted a blood drive at our Houston headquarters. The Blood Center partners with organizations across the area to host blood drives, a vital lifeline for Houston’s health care industry.
“Our employees recognized a community need and answered the call” said Brooke Pearce, CSNA Human Resources Manager. “Blood donations are an essential service and are needed now.”
The current landscape amid the COVID-19 pandemic has made finding locations to host blood drives more challenging. The latest report from the Blood Bank indicated that for the city, every day 1,000 blood donations are needed to save and sustain the lives of patients being treated across the 26-county Gulf Coast region.
“There are 1,000 families, friends and loved ones who needed our help in making the selfless decision to roll up our sleeve to donate blood,” said Dylan O’Hana CSNA President. said. “These donations are essential in ensuring that patients across the city have this resource when they need it most.”
